Kazakhstan's low-cost airline FlyArystan announces the launch of ticket sales for a new seasonal route to China: Almaty – Yining (Kuldja) – Almaty.
The first flight is scheduled for May 18, 2025. Flights will operate twice a week – on Thursdays and Sundays.
FlyArystan will become the first Kazakh airline to operate flights on this route. Yining, also known as Kuldja, is located in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of China and serves as the administrative center of the Ili Kazakh Autonomous District. The city is home to a significant Kazakh diaspora. It is located near Khorgos, an important transportation hub on the border between China and Kazakhstan. The travel time by land from Almaty to Yining is approximately 10 hours, while the flight will take about one hour.
Ticket prices for the Almaty – Yining (Kuldja) route start from 15,000 tenge one way, including all fees and baggage. Airline tickets are already available for booking on the official website www.flyarystan.com, through the mobile app, and other sales channels.
In addition, FlyArystan has previously announced the resumption of flights from Astana to Urumqi, which will begin on April 13, 2025, twice a week. Departures from Astana are scheduled for Thursdays and Sundays, while flights from Urumqi will be on Mondays and Fridays.
It is also worth noting that 2025 has been officially declared the Year of Tourism of China in Kazakhstan. Since November 10, 2023, a visa-free regime has been in effect between the two countries.
