Press releases
FlyArystan, in partnership with Visit Almaty and with the support of the Consulate General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Xi'an, hosted a roadshow in the Chinese metropolis. The event was aimed at promoting direct air connectivity between Almaty and Xi'an while strengthening tourism and business ties between Kazakhstan and China.

The event brought together representatives of China's tourism industry, industry associations, and media outlets. The Kazakh delegation included FlyArystan, the Almaty Tourism Bureau, and leading Kazakh inbound travel companies, including Kite Travel, Unitour, Kaztour Corporate, Kompas, Skyway, Turan Kazakhstan Travel, Satguru Travel, Grand Soluxe Company, and others.

The roadshow was opened by Berik Ibragimov, Consul of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Xi'an, who emphasized the importance of expanding the transport potential between the two countries.

Berik Ibragimov, Consul of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Xi'an:

"The FlyArystan service is more than just a route – it is a living bridge connecting our countries for business, tourism, education, and investment. It makes the visa-free regime truly convenient while turning our strategic partnership into something tangible and practical. Kazakhstan and China are committed to deepening their cooperation, and today's roadshow is a clear demonstration of that commitment. We invite you to discover Almaty – the city of sunshine, mountains, and hospitality – together with FlyArystan and Visit Almaty."

During the roadshow, FlyArystan introduced participants to its flight schedule and the advantages of the new direct service. Visit Almaty showcased the Almaty city's tourism potential, while Kazakh tour operators presented travel products tailored to the preferences of Chinese travelers.

Janar Jailauova, Director Marketing & Communication at FlyArystan:

"For FlyArystan, expanding our international route network is about more than launching new flights – it is about building long-term partnerships. The roadshow in Xi'an provided an important platform for direct dialogue with Chinese tour operators and travel agencies. We had the opportunity to discuss the potential of the new Almaty – Xi'an route in detail, as well as joint initiatives to attract more travelers. We are confident that meetings like these will give a strong boost to inbound tourism."

The business program concluded with a series of B2B meetings, during which participants outlined practical steps to develop new travel packages and expand cooperation between the tourism industries of Kazakhstan and China.
