FlyArystan Announces New IATA Code “FS” for Flights Starting January 1, 2025

Press releases
Kazakh low-cost airline, FlyArystan, has officially been assigned its own IATA (International Air Transport Association) code – “FS”. Beginning January 1, 2025, all flights operated by FlyArystan will use the code FS instead of the current KC designation.
Richard Ledger, President of FlyArystan:

“Airlines use IATA codes to distinguish themselves as unique entities within the aviation sector. The decision to adopt a new code was determined by our strategic decision to separate FlyArystan from Air Astana. This milestone reflects the airline's growth and strengthens both its brand and the competitiveness of Kazakhstan’s aviation on the global stage. Customers will notice this code change from “KC” to “FS” at all stages of their travel journey – whether they’re booking through the app, on our website, at the airport, or via any third-party communications. Additionally, the ticket number prefix (the first three digits on all tickets) will shift from 465 to 164. All other procedures will remain the same, ensuring a seamless experience for our customers.”

In April 2024, FlyArystan received its Air Operator Certificate (AOC) – a critical document for conducting commercial passenger transportation. This accomplishment highlights the airline's commitment to upholding the highest standards of safety and service quality, now further reinforced by the receipt of its unique IATA code.
